Road sweeper vehicle on Fordbank Road, 16th September 2025

Pictured turning right up Fordbank Road from the junction with Harefield Drive, this road sweeper maintenance vehicle was in use after several days’ heavy and persistent rainfall had left mud strewn across the road from lorries travelling from the river bank construction site. Spinning brushes on each side of the vehicle lifted the mud and debris into the centre and up into a vacuum. The vehicle was usually used on Fridays. As can be seen, the road was left clear and clean.
