Celebrating the Epiphany, 6th January 2025
The word ‘epiphany’ means ‘manifestation’ and is a celebration of the revelation of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles through the visit of the Magi (Three Kings) from the East, marking Jesus’s divinity as saviour for all people.

This lovely creation was displayed to coincide with Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2025, and shows a bird and bees surrounded by heart-shaped crochets in various sizes and shades of green. One of the larger hearts has the letters ‘WI’ on it – a reference to the Women’s Institute. Attached is a heart-shaped card on which the following message can be read:
SHOW THE LOVE
TOGETHER WE CAN PROTECT THE
LIFE WE LOVE FROM CLIMATE CHANGE
Make room for dandelions in a strip of long lawn, too – it will provide nesting opportunities for queen bees come spring.
Hops, holly and nettles provide food for caterpillars.
The message gave information on how we can protect insect and bird life and was part of the WI “show the love” climate change campaign, hence timed for Valentine’s Day.
