River flowing towards top of photo. Simon’s Bridge top left approximately 260 yards from breach. River in flood would have been flowing at speed after coming off the bend in the river. Breach approximately 40 yards long. Water surged across part of Fletcher Moss Playing Field before crossing Stenner Lane and onto Simon Field. Note the erosion on the other side of the bank.
