Ford Bank Residents’ Association, 2014
The Ford Bank Residents’ Association was established at an inaugural meeting on Thursday 16th January 2014.The aims of the Association are to safeguard and promote the interests of residents in the area on all matters concerning housing and the environment in the area of Ford Bank and its social and community life. Membership is open, regardless of nationality, political party, race, sexual orientation or religious opinions, to all residents of Ford Bank over the age of 16.
For the purpose of the FBRA, the Ford Bank estate consists of Dene Road, Deneford Road, Ford Lane, Fordbank Road, Granville Gardens, Harefield Drive, Westmorland Road, Whitehaven Gardens and Woodford Gardens.
Meetings take place regularly and are held at Didsbury Sports Ground, Ford Lane.
Local councillors and representatives of various organisations have been invited to attend meetings in order to hear and act upon ideas and suggestions put forward by members of the Association. With their cooperation and influence many improvements have been made to the estate over the years. To that end the FBRA and others are owed a debt of gratitude by all of us for their voluntary efforts and commitment to making the local environment a better place in which to live.
